Owner is the AI-native system local business owners use to succeed, starting with restaurants.

We’re building the system that replaces the many tools owners use to run their business.

It powers everything from the restaurant’s website, online ordering, CRM, POS, and more.

Most small business software makes owners do the work to get what they want: sales growth and profit growth. Owner does the work for them agentically.

Our system drives demand, converts it, and helps operators run their business day to day. As it improves, the business improves with it.

Using Owner should feel like having a team of great operators, engineers, and marketers working for you.

We’re starting by helping independent restaurants succeed online.

But it’s not just restaurants that need our help. Most local businesses are struggling with these same problems. Huge technology corporations are taking their customers, bleeding their profits, and making it hard for them to survive.

Once we nail the solution for restaurants – we’ll scale it into every other local business type.

In the future we envision, tens of millions of local business owners will use our technology to succeed in the digital age.

Since 2020, we've generated tens of millions in revenue and processed over a billion dollars of online orders. 1 in 5 Americans have used an

More importantly, we’ve helped over 20,000 restaurant owners, and saved them nearly $200 million in fees.

Our team is now in the low hundreds. We’ve got top talent from the most successful companies in SMB software, including: Shopify, HubSpot, DoorDash, ServiceTitan, Rappi, Faire and Stripe.

We’ll be scaling even faster in 2026 to keep pace with our customer growth.

Owner is a remote-first, global company headquartered in San Francisco, with a sales hub in Toronto. For a few of our roles we prioritize in-person collaboration at one of our office locations. Most of our teammates are distributed throughout the globe. Please review the role description and discuss with your recruiter for more details on location!

The Guest Acquisition team is building the self-driving, AI-powered platform for profitable growth for small businesses. A crucial element of this growth engine is attracting new consumer demand for our restaurant customers through SEO and AEO/GEO.

Owner’s acquisition engine first identifies what makes a given restaurant unique, evaluates local demand for its offerings, and assesses the most relevant competition to determine the best strategy for promoting that restaurant. Then, the platform automatically generates relevant website pages and content, monitors results over time, and evolves its strategy as it gets more data.

We are looking for a mission-driven engineer who is passionate about their craft and committed to building incredible products for our customers.

Own the technical strategy for SEO/AEO systems at scale,

translating ambiguous growth goals into a prioritized roadmap, clear metrics, and durable system architecture.

Lead end-to-end delivery of major initiatives

such as new ingestion sources, indexing and serving improvements, or content generation workflows, from design through launch and operational readiness.

Raise the bar on reliability, quality, and observability

across pipelines and services, building guardrails, alerting, dashboards, and incident-ready runbooks that enable sustained iteration.

Drive a rigorous experimentation and measurement loop,

partnering with product, data, and cross-functional teams to validate impact, diagnose regressions, and continuously improve performance.

setting engineering standards, reviewing designs, coaching other engineers, and aligning across teams where changes require shared ownership.

Ability to set direction, drive alignment, and deliver multi-quarter initiatives from design through launch and iteration.

Strong technical leadership and end-to-end ownership.

Experience with crawling and indexing, content generation, templating, structured data, internal linking, canonicalization, and internationalization is a plus.

Comfort defining success metrics, running controlled experiments, analyzing results, and debugging performance changes (rankings, traffic, conversion).

Experience building reliable pipelines and services with strong observability, alerting, and incident-ready runbooks.

Able to reason about tradeoffs across ingestion, storage, serving, and quality controls, and to design durable architectures.

Able to collaborate tightly with Product, Data, and Design, and influence decisions without authority.

The estimated starting base salary range for this role is $190K-220K depending on level, location and experience, plus a generous pre-IPO equity package

Other benefits include comprehensive health coverage, work from anywhere (remote-first workplace), unlimited PTO - plus extra fun perks!

Communication from our team regarding job opportunities will only be made by an Owner team member with an @owner.com email address.

We do not conduct interviews over email or chat platforms, and we will never ask you to provide personal or financial information such as your mailing address, social security number, credit card numbers or banking information. If you believe you are being contacted by a scammer, please mark the communication as "phishing" or “spam” and do not respond.

Senior Software Engineer, Guest Acquisition

Full Time

Owner is the all-in-one platform for independent restaurants — online ordering, POS, kitchen tools, marketing, and the financial backbone that ties it all together. Reporting and analytics is one of our biggest product investments this year, and we're hiring a founding Product Manager to lead it.

We think great reporting for a restaurant has two halves. The first is

: historical performance the operator can pull up instantly, customize for the way they actually run their business, and trust enough to close the day on. The second is

: what's coming based on what we know about their business and history, and the suggestions that help them hit their goals.

We want Owner's reporting to be best-in-class on both halves — deep operator empathy, AI native, and built around how restaurants actually work.

You'll own the product end-to-end, partnering closely with the GM of Payments, the Money & Risk EM, and a small senior engineering team, with deep collaboration with our AI team on the anticipation side.

This role is fully remote and open to candidates anywhere in the US or Canada. Slight preference for Eastern or Central time zones.

half of reporting end-to-end — data models, the builder experience, curated reports operators reach for daily, drill-down behavior, the mobile experience, and the migration path from where we are today.

half in partnership with our AI team — surface what's coming for an operator based on their business and history, and the suggestions that help them hit their goals.

Define the data foundation that scales reporting across the full restaurant business (sales, menu, guests, payouts, labor, loyalty) so both halves of the product compound over time.

Make reporting a stated reason restaurants choose Owner — showing up in customer feedback, sales conversations, and renewals as a reason they stay.

Be the loudest voice for our customers on this product. Pull signal from support tickets, ride-alongs, churn conversations, and the active backlog — and turn it into the next set of priorities.

Partner daily with the EM and engineering team on Money & Risk.

Work in deep partnership with our AI team on the anticipation side of reporting.

Build the analytical foundation alongside our incoming BI Analyst and Data Scientist.

Work cross-functionally with POS, Online Ordering, Loyalty, Labor, Finance, Support, Customer Success, and Sales as the product extends across the platform.

5+ years of product management experience

: you have a track record of shipping software that made a difference for your customers

: you have a good understanding of what makes for a high-quality product and are opinionated about what solutions will be successful

: you care about helping your customers and are skilled at performing research to uncover their true needs

: you effectively gather and integrate quantitative and qualitative data to inform your decision-making and update your intuition

: you make sure your goals are clearly defined and display significant independence in achieving them

: you’re a force for clarity and alignment, ensuring everyone’s on the same page

: you can understand the high-level architecture of a product and its implications for the customer experience, and you’re comfortable talking with engineers about project scope and tradeoffs

The estimated starting base salary range for this role is $190-230K, plus a generous pre-IPO equity package

Other benefits include comprehensive health coverage, remote-first workplace, unlimited PTO - plus extra fun perks!

We are looking for our first Senior Corporate Counsel to serve as the embedded legal partner for our Product and Engineering organizations. This role sits at the intersection of product counseling, payments and fintech regulatory work, including privacy and AI governance - advising directly on the systems restaurants use to run their businesses, including AI-powered guest experiences and embedded payments infrastructure. You'll report to the Head of Legal and you'll be an early hire on the Legal team, with significant ownership over how we build compliant, well-designed products from day one.

Advise on regulatory compliance for payments and fintech-adjacent products, including embedded payments, money movement, card network rules, and PCI-DSS considerations.

Build and maintain the privacy program elements most relevant to product: data collection and retention practices, consumer disclosures, and compliance with CCPA/CPRA and other state privacy laws.

Monitor emerging AI regulation (state AI laws, FTC guidance, and international frameworks where relevant) and translate it into practical, actionable product guidance.

Draft and negotiate technology, data, and AI vendor agreements, including data and model licensing terms.

Partner with the General Counsel and business teams on regulatory risk assessments for new markets, products, and features.

Build scalable playbooks, templates, and self-serve tools so product and engineering teams can move quickly with the right guardrails in place.

Manage outside counsel on discrete regulatory, payments, or AI matters as needed.

J.D. and active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

6+ years of legal experience, including meaningful in-house product counsel experience at a technology company.

Direct experience advising on AI/ML products, with familiarity with the emerging AI regulatory landscape.

Experience with fintech or payments products - embedded payments, money movement, card issuing, or similar.

Substantive privacy law experience (CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, and state comprehensive privacy laws).

Experience in restaurant technology, hospitality tech, or vertical SaaS strongly preferred.

Strong builder mentality, with experience creating processes, playbooks, and standards rather than just applying existing ones.

Ability to translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into clear, practical guidance for product and engineering teams.

Comfort working independently in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment with incomplete information.

The estimated starting base salary range for this role is $180,000 - $220,000, plus a generous pre-IPO equity package

Running a restaurant is a constant stream of decisions, exceptions, and tradeoffs. Operators do not need more dashboards. They need an always-on co-owner that surfaces what matters, recommends the next best move, and increasingly does the work for them.

RestX is Owner’s operator command center. We are hiring a Principal Product Manager to build the AI-native operator experience for restaurants on top of our agent platform. This is a hands-on builder PM role for someone who can go deep on operational workflows and also go deep on the technical reality of orders, menus, and integrations.

This role is 100% remote and can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.

Make outcomes the product for operators. Synthesize what outcomes have been driven, recommend the next best action with a clear why and how, and provide a one-tap path to get it done.

Spend meaningful time with restaurant owners and frontline teams to build deep operator intuition and translate it into shipped product.

Productize playbooks into personalized actions based on each restaurant’s data, configuration, and operating context.

Ship high-impact closed-loop playbooks that turn signals into clear recommendations and one-tap actions. Examples include profit-aware demand capture, self-optimizing menus, dynamic specials that fill slow dayparts, reputation automation, and win-back plays for high-value guests.

Own the foundations for orders, menus, integrations, and reliability so the product is trustworthy at scale.

8+ years product management experience (or equivalent building experience), with a track record of shipping.

Strong operator empathy and customer obsession. You build conviction by spending time with customers.

AI product instincts grounded in real operations. You think in loops and care about quality and iteration.

Technical depth and strong engineering partnership. You can reason about systems, data flows, and reliability.

Strong judgment and prioritization. You can balance speed, correctness, and long-term maintainability.

We're hiring a Senior FP&A Analyst to own the core planning, forecasting, and performance tracking functions across the company — but this isn't a "maintain the model" role. We want someone who treats our financial infrastructure like a product: constantly rebuilding and automating it, not running the same manual process every month.

You'll own the models and reporting systems that drive our decisions, with real license to rethink how the work gets done. AI and modern tooling should be your default, not an afterthought — automating manual reporting and freeing you up to spend more time embedded with the business, running the analyses that actually shape where we grow and invest. We're looking for someone who wants to do more than tracking: someone excited to improve the business's economics, partnering with teams across the company not just to find the answer, but to help implement it.

This role is 100% remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.

Build and own the financial models and forecasting infrastructure that power how we plan and decide as we scale

Drive investment and growth decisions through analyses grounded in unit economics, cohort trends, and more

Automate manual reporting with AI and modern tooling, turning recurring asks into self-serve dashboards and systems that run independently

Partner cross-functionally on strategic planning and resource allocation, turning complex data into clear narratives for leadership

Sharpen forecast accuracy and drive margin and efficiency gains through better visibility into performance drivers

Go beyond analysis to implementation, partnering cross-functionally to turn insights into real improvements in the business's economics.

, partnering closely on forecasting, reporting, and the systems that keep the business running smoothly

across the company on headcount and resource planning, making sure decisions are backed by accurate, timely data

on strategic initiatives, where your analysis directly informs the call

2–4 years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or similar roles; experience in a high-growth startup is a plus

AI-forward, with a track record of using AI to automate workflows, accelerate analysis, or build tools

Strong modeling skills that improve forecast accuracy, streamline reporting, and support dynamic scenario planning

Proficient in tools such as Excel/Google Sheets, QuickBooks (or similar ERP), and AI tooling like Claude Code; familiarity with SQL or Sigma is a plus.

Skilled at partnering cross-functionally across the business to translate plans into action

Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities

Clear written and verbal communicator who can translate financial data into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders

Excited to build scalable processes, enable self-serve reporting, and support strategic decision-making across the company

The estimated base salary range for this role is $120,000 – $140,000 USD / $168,000 - $196,000 CAD, plus a generous pre-IPO equity package

Owner is hiring a Senior FP&A Analyst to own core planning, forecasting, and performance tracking. The role involves rebuilding financial infrastructure using AI and modern tooling to automate reporting and drive strategic investment decisions. This is a 100% remote position for candidates based in the United States.

Senior FP&A Analyst

As a Strategic CSM, you'll own the full lifecycle for approximately 100 of our biggest & most important brands. These are the accounts where Owner's platform has the deepest impact. In an intensively competitive market a great CSM relationship is the difference between a customer who stays and grows and one who churns.

This is not a "check the box" CS role. You'll operate as a trusted business consultant for restaurant owners. You'll analyze their performance data, shape their marketing strategy, troubleshoot their operations, and build the kind of relationship where they call you before they call anyone else. You'll also help build the playbooks, processes, and institutional knowledge that make the Strategic motion repeatable as we scale.

We're looking for someone who thrives with a high volume of relationships. Who can handle the pace and ambiguity of a startup, and someone who finds real satisfaction in helping small business owners win.

Manage a named portfolio of ~100 parent restaurant brands. You're their person — the single point of accountability for their success on the Owner platform, from onboarding through renewal and beyond.

Most independent restaurant owners don't have a CMO, a CTO, or a data analyst. You'll fill all three gaps — translating platform data into plain-language recommendations on online ordering performance, marketing campaigns, SEO, and guest engagement. You'll lead kickoff calls, performance reviews, and proactive check-ins that are grounded in their numbers and focused on driving results.

Own retention and growth for your book. Proactively identify churn signals using data points, intervene before problems escalate, and build the case for why Owner is driving real value. When a customer is considering leaving, you'll lead the save conversation with data and empathy.

Prepare and deliver recurring performance reviews for your key accounts. You’ll lead honest conversations about what's working, what's not, and what to do next. Tie every recommendation back to the restaurant's actual business goals: more orders, more repeat guests, more revenue through their own channels.

The Strategic CSM function is still maturing. You'll have real input into the playbooks, engagement models, and operational systems that define how this team works. If you see a better way to segment, prioritize, or engage, you'll have a seat at the table to propose it and the support to build it.

Work closely with Sales, Partnerships, Launch, Marketing, SEO, and Product to advocate for your customers and close the loop on their feedback. Escalate intelligently. Bring patterns, not just problems.

3+ years in Customer Success, Account Management, or a related customer-facing role

in B2B or B2B2C SaaS. You've managed a book of business, owned retention metrics, and operated with real accountability for outcomes.

Experience managing multi-location or high-value accounts.

You know what it means to manage complexity across locations, stakeholders, and priorities — and you don't lose the thread.

You're comfortable pulling a report, identifying the story in the numbers, and translating that into a recommendation a restaurant owner can act on. You don't just present data — you interpret it.

The ability to handle hard conversations with grace.

You've navigated cancellation calls, retention negotiations, and de-escalations. You don't shy away from conflict — you lean into it with empathy and clarity.

With ~100 accounts, you can't go deep on everything every day. You know how to segment by risk and opportunity, manage your time ruthlessly, and still make every customer feel like they matter.

You'll work daily in Salesforce, Notion, Slack, SalesLoft, and Sigma. You’ll have 10-20 calls per day with customers. You’ll find problems you don’t have answers for but are expected to find them. You don’t have to be an expert on day 1 but you’re expected to be the person who hustles each day to get better.

You can write a crisp email to a restaurant owner, lead a compelling business review, and summarize a complex situation for your manager in the same morning.

Experience in the restaurant, food, or hospitality industry

Familiarity with online ordering platforms, POS systems, or restaurant marketing tools

Experience working in a high-growth startup where processes are still being built

Owner is seeking a Strategic Customer Success Manager to manage a portfolio of approximately 100 high-value restaurant brands. The role involves acting as a business consultant to drive revenue retention and growth using data-informed strategies. Key tools include Salesforce, Notion, and Sigma to optimize online ordering and marketing performance.
